About the event
Join us for a fun and educational bird walk with Queensland Chief Scientist Professor Hugh Possingham – a conservation biologist and passionate bird watcher. Don’t miss this opportunity to meet Queensland’s Chief Scientist and learn more about your local wildlife! There will be an opportunity after the walk to join the Queensland Chief Scientist for breakfast at Muddy's Cafe (participants to cover own costs), and at around 10am there will be an opportunity to view waders & shorebirds.
This event is presented with support by BirdLife Northern Queensland.
Please arrive at Cairns Cenotaph at 7:15am, for a 7:30am commencement.
Then we are likely to walk along the Esplanade again to look for early arrival of waders. You have a plenty opportunity to ask and talk to Hugh about our conservation works!
Please register your attendance via Eventbrite here. We look forward to seeing you!
