About the event

Come and join us looking for Wet Tropics birds, and learn how we survey for them. We will undertake bird surveys at the beginning of the Windin Falls Track starting promptly at 7:00 am to avoid the bushwalker rush, before moving to the beginning of the Mount Bartle Frere Walking Track for a social morning tea and more bird surveys along the beginning of the Bartle Frere Track. BYO morning tea and lunch. It’s the wet tropics so bring an umbrella and waterproof shoes, just in case. Also, binoculars, sunscreen, hat, and insect repellent.

Meet at Windin Falls Walking Track (near entrance from Gourka Road), then Mount Bartle Frere Walking Track (at end of Gourka Road), near Butchers Creek, Atherton Tablelands

Please register your interest in attending with the event organiser. Our plans may change depending on the number of people attending. Also, in the event of severe weather or other unforeseen circumstances, events may be cancelled at short notice.
