Join us for the Cairns Birding Festival Opening Night and a fascinating presentation by Denis Moeser on the successes, surprises, and discoveries emerging from his nest box project at Cattana Wetlands.

Through years of dedicated monitoring and observation, Denis has been documenting how native wildlife makes use of artificial nesting habitats. The project is providing valuable insights into the animals using the boxes, their behaviour, and the role nest boxes can play in providing habitat for local wildlife.

Denis will share some of the project’s most interesting findings, along with the practical lessons learned from establishing and monitoring nest boxes in the Wet Tropics.
