About the event

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY

COAST COUNT FOR TORRESIAN IMPERIAL PIGEONS (TIP / PIP)

Date: 13 November 2021 and nearby dates

Time: 4:00 pm until dark

Location: Coastal site of your choice between Gladstone and Cape York

We are seeking volunteers to assist in the 2021 season of our long-running Coast Counts for Torresian Imperial Pigeon (TIP / PIP). Coast counts are a great way to turn an afternoon at the beach into a valuable contribution to bird conservation, and it’s not difficult – you don’t need to be an expert birder to do this. To find out what's involved, you can download the coast count guidelines here.

We need more volunteers all along the Queensland coast. Pick you own site or ask us for suggestions.

To find out more or to register your involvement, please contact our TIP Coast Count Coordinator, Rebel Warren on 0407 914 318 or email rebelwarren51@gmail.com
