About the event

One of my key projects focusses on Northern Australia's threatened finches and grasswrens. This work includes developing and implementing survey and monitoring programs to find out more about the threatened finches of the Mitchell River catchment (with Kowanyama Rangers and Northern Gulf Resource Management Group), and grasswrens throughout western Queensland and Northern Territory (with BirdLife Northern Queensland). Read more here.

Multiple field camps are planned for March to June (they will be opportunistic around river conditions etc., hence no prescribed dates yet). We are aiming to train more people in survey methods and collect additional data on feeding and nesting of Gouldian Finches, all in collaboration with NQ Natural History Group
