Join us for some social birding in Djiru National Park, near Mission Beach.
We'll all meet in the Lacey Creek car park in Djiru National Park, on the ElArish – Mission Beach Road, then walk around the circuit. If time permits we'll cross the road and spend time on part of the Musgravea Track. BYO morning tea and hat, insect repellant, water etc.
Djiru National Park protects some of the last remaining lowland rainforest in the Wet Tropics, including a rare patch of Licuala fan palm forest. It is also one of the few places you're likely to see the endangered Southern Cassowary.
