Birds with Altitude
Join us for our annual campout in the lush wet tropics, camping next to the picturesque South Johnstone River.
We’ll spend the weekend looking for and monitoring wet tropics birds at various locations and altitudes in the Misty Mountains area. The Birds With Altitude Project monitors wet tropics bird populations and distribution for the impacts of climate change. Come along to learn about the project, help survey birds and have an enjoyable social weekend.
Directions:
K Tree Road off the Palmerston Highway is about 25km from Millaa Millaa or 30km from the junction of the Palmerston and Bruce Highways, near Innisfail. Turn into K Tree Road and travel for 12.3 km to reach the campground.
