About the event
Join us for a relaxed morning of birding along the beautiful Lacey Creek Walking Track in Djiru National Park. We’ll take our time spotting some of the Wet Tropics’ most iconic and elusive birdlife, including the dazzling Wompoo Fruit-Dove.
This social outing is perfect for beginners and those who’ve attended the Birding for Beginners workshop the day before (9 August). The walk follows an easy-graded track, including a section of the Dreaming Trail, and we’ll pause midway for a casual morning tea together.
What to bring: binoculars, bird field guide, water, weather-ready clothing, and something to enjoy for ‘smoko’.
Participation is free – just call Ceri on 0488 131 581 to register.
Come for the birds, stay for the company.
