Breeding biology of Beach Stone-curlews
Presented by Paul Fisk
The BLNQ Threatened Coastal Birds project 2019-2023 had a focus on the Beach Stone-curlew pairs around Cairns over 2019-2023. Using motion cameras and frequent field surveys we were able good information on incubation period, development of young, the timing of breeding season and breeding site fidelity. This information could improve our capacity to monitor regional populations.
