Discover how BirdLife Northern Queensland’s Birds With Altitude project is building a long-term citizen science monitoring network to track climate change impacts on the unique rainforest birds of the Wet Tropics.

Despite threatening weather, six birders enjoyed a rewarding morning at Warrina Lakes, recording 50 species including Little Kingfisher, Black-necked Stork and Great-billed Heron during June’s monthly bird walk.

Nine birders, 36 species, and more than 65 squabbling Rainbow Lorikeets – Sunday morning at Warrina Lakes delivered a feathered spectacle that was equal parts chaos, colour, and pure joy.
